About me
Ashley Linz, an Autism Specialist in the De Soto School District, brings 16 years of experience in Special Education. Her diverse background includes roles as a paraprofessional, center-based autism classroom teacher, autism specialist, blogger for The Autism Helper, and swim lesson instructor. She has a passion for supporting students with autism and other learning challenges.
Ashley earned her master's degree in Special Education Teaching from Pittsburg State University and holds an undergraduate degree in Leisure Youth and Human Services from the University of Northern Iowa, where she was also a student-athlete.
Born and raised in Overland Park, KS, Ashley resides just minutes from where she grew up with her husband, two children, and three dogs. One of her dogs accompanies her to school, serving as a therapy dog to offer comfort and support to students and adults. When not working, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, Ubering her children to activities and sporting events, and organizing everything in their home.
