About me
Lead the reading MTSS team from 2021-present, training new members, managing and analyzing data, creating supplemental fluency materials, and communicating with the team, students, families, and the wider school community to develop ownership and investment in the MTSS process at all levels. Collaboratively co-teach 2 sections of English 9 with Modern World History to increase engagement in reluctant students via interdisciplinary study, project based learning, supplemental field trips, and goal-setting with the overarching goal of students becoming involved members of the school community. Teach several sections of Reading 9-12, leveraging both an online program and whole-class, small group, and individual instruction created with each student in mind in order for students to increase their reading abilities. Facilitate students’ reading growth by creating individualized goals with action steps. Monitor students’ progress toward their goal with informal and formal assessments and adjust curriculum accordingly. Frequently meet with students to hold data talks and discuss progress toward stated goals.
