Melissa Thorsell brings energy, empathy, and bilingual brilliance to the 4th-grade team at Black Bob Elementary. As a Spanish Immersion teacher and the daughter of immigrant parents, Melissa is a fierce advocate for inclusivity and equity in education. She holds a master’s degree in Education and Instructional Coaching and is known for her ability to uplift those around her with encouragement, humor, and heartfelt support. Melissa is a joy-bringer, especially in tough situations, and serves as a cheerleader for both her students and her team. Her approach blends justice and unity, and she leads with passion, deep listening, and a drive to make all voices feel heard and valued.
